My GDPR statement (in accordance with Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018)):
Quite simply, I do not hold or process any personal data about any of my clients. Most of my regular and repeat clients are estate agents and they have their own privacy policies in place and have to be GDPR compliant. Please speak to your estate agent about how they hold and process your personal data.
With regards to the individual clients who approach me directly:
- I don’t keep any of your personal data – its as simple as that.
- As almost all commissions are one off jobs, I don’t have a mailing list for you to opt in/out of and I will not be contacting you in the future.
- I only use your data (your name, address, phone number and possibly your email address) to carry out my job. I need to contact you to arrange an appointment for your shoot, once the job is complete, I use your email address to send you any images produced. I then destroy (by shredding) any information I may hold about you.
- After a minimum period of 2 years after your property has sold, some of the images produced may be re-marketed and re-sold by Rob Kerr Photography via global picture agencies like Alamy and Getty Images. Please speak to me if you do not wish any your images to be sold in the future.
You can be assured though, that your data is safe with me whilst it is with me, I do not process, share or sell any personal information or data about you. Once your commission is complete and I no longer have need to contact you about your commission, I shred any documents which may contain your data.
I usually ask, that before your shoot, you move any personal photographs in your home which may be used to identify you or your family. I can also (if requested) blur out any persons in photographs which may be visible within the image(s) I produce.
